Delivery and Returns

United Kingdom

Postage within the UK is FREE via Royal Mail and we aim for next day dispatch. You can therefore expect to receive your parcel within one or two working days from dispatch.

You can also pick up any items that you've bought, if you happen to live near the Aberystwyth area of Wales - just buy your items on the web site in the normal way, and then email us to arrange a convenient time and place.

International Delivery

We don't really encourage international deliveries because of the transport-related carbon overhead. Although it's not good for us, we'd rather you found an local company in your country that sells ethical bags. We might be able to help you find one if you'd like to contact us. Nevertheless, we will send items if you find something that only we sell, although we suggest you consider planting a tree.  Our international postage rate is £30.00 until we find a cheaper alternative.

International parcels will usually be sent by airmail or courier, and they may need to be signed for on delivery. The details of delivery will be confirmed by email. If you would like information about delivery for particular items before you place an order, please email simon@plumethical.com.

Returns, if you're not Totally Happy

Changed your mind

Should you not like an item or you've changed your mind then we are happy to provide you with a full refund (excluding return postage costs). Please email or phone us within 7 days of purchase, and all items must be in their original condition with all tags attached.  We reserve the right to reject returns that do not meet these criteria.

Return due to defects

In the unlikely event of your item being defective then we are happy to provide you with a full refund (including return postage costs).  We check all items before dispatch, but occaisionally problems may occur.  Please email or phone us within 7 days of purchase stating the problem.  We aim to be fair, but reserve the right to reject returns that we believe have been misused.

Conditions of all returns

All returns must be made within 7 days of contacting us about returning the item and within 14 days of purchase (21 days from outside of the UK).

How to return

Returning goods is simple:

  • Make sure all the items are in their original condition.
  • Fill in the return form (see forms below).
  • Pack them in the box in which you received them, and make it secure.
  • Take your parcel to the post office, and make sure you obtain a proof of delivery and adequate insurance as we can't be liable for parcels lost in the post.

Refunds

Refunds will be made at the original sale price, and will be processed as quickly as we can. When a discount was applied to a combined purchase, if the return of items means the discount would no longer apply, then this will be taken into account when making the refund.
