Can you hear the sounds of the bossa nova? Hmm. Maybe not. Nevertheless, these bags come from the beautiful land of Brazil. 'Pretinha' coordinates a group of very disadvantage women from cooperatives in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. She teaches these communities the traditional crochet techniques used in the products and they handmake these unique ecological handicrafts. They now proudly make a living through this work of art supporting their families and a percentage of their sales goes to a day care centre for disadvantage kids in Rio de Janeiro.
The result? Gorgeous handbags and purses that in and of themselves will make you happy too. That's why we do this - everyone wins.
