We're pleased to present our Spring 2011 collection of ethical, fair trade, organic and local produced handbags, bags, jewellery and clothes. We aim to provide a broad range of fair trade items that are all produced with high ethical standards.  We're constantly introducing more gorgeous ethical, fair trade and organic handbags, jewellery and clothes so please visit regularly as our stock will be updated throughout the year.  We also have some ethical, fair trade manbags - something to keep those ethical minded chaps very happy! 

As always, if you can't see what you want, or would like us to start stocking a particular ethical or fair trade brand of bags, handbags, clothes or jewellery, please feel free to email us.  We're always on the look out for new products that are recycled, upcycled, sustainable, fair trade, ethical or organic goodies, so please give us a shout if there's anything you think should be included in our ethical, fair trade and organic range of lovely goodies.

What Does 'Ethical' Mean?

It's quite hard to define 'ethical' in a few short sentences.

What one person considers to be ethical can be completely different to the next person.

What we aim to provide at Plum Ethical is a broad range of items which meets each person’s definition of ethical. We sell items that are vegan, fair trade, environmentally friendly, organic, recycled, upcycled, locally and sustainably produced - so whatever shade of green you may be, there’s something for everyone. We urge you to read the product descriptions before deciding on which product you’d like, we’ll tell you what category each product falls in to - it may be one, or hopefully many.

We make no excuses about the prices of our products as we want to make sure that everyone along the production chain receives a fair price and wage. We only work with companies who look after their people - paying them properly, without exploiting them and provide safe working conditions.

Above all, our collection of gorgeous ethical and fair trade bags, jewellery and clothes aim to make you feel good - be it by the complements you receive from friends and your family or by the warm and fuzzy feeling you get from buying something that contributes towards making the world a better place. By buying one of our products you can be safe in the knowledge that an individual or community is benefiting.
